The story behind Delitaka
Because of the coronavirus situation, the people of Takasaki have been told to stay at home, and that’s had a big effect on the restaurants of this city. I thought there must be something I could do for these eateries despite the circumstances.
Then I saw on Facebook that one of my acquaintances had started a website to introduce restaurants in Tomioka that had started offering takeout.
Considering all that’s happening right now, I thought not about how someone else did it first, but rather what a cool example they set for others to follow. Even if it was similar to what someone else had already done, all I could think was that I wanted to do something to help, too.
I immediately contacted my acquaintance and got permission to use the same idea.
As of now, my company hasn’t taken any hits yet. But I have no idea what’ll happen a month from now.
But for now, I know I just want to do whatever I can.
I set up this site so that you can search not only by restaurant name, but also by type of food. I hope this helps people enjoy ordering takeout despite the current circumstances. The site was made in a hurry, so I’m sure there are still ways we can improve it; if you notice anything please reach out.
I hope this crisis situation ends soon, and things return to normal enough that I can close down this site.
